Appointments

All God’s Creatures Veterinary Clinic is a one doctor practice; you and your pet will see Dr. Ramey for every visit. We do require a scheduled appointment for routine exams or surgeries. Please understand our goal is to see patients efficiently, but emergencies are given priority. If you have an emergency, please call us at 551-9997, so we can plan accordingly and be expecting your arrival.

Method of Payment

Payment is due at the time services are rendered. We accept cash, personal checks, Visa, Mastercard, and most major forms of pet insurance. We encourage all clients to discuss charges or request an estimate for services at their appointment. Please realize that estimates are approximate and the actual cost may change depending on your pet’s health status.

Boarding or Hospitalization

We offer limited boarding for our patients provided that space is available. All pets admitted to the clinic are required to be current on vaccinations administered by a license veterinarian, have a negative fecal test, and be flea/tick-free.

Heartworm Testing

It only takes one mosquito bite for a dog or a cat to become infected with heartworms. You can keep your dog on a heartworm preventative for life for about the same cost as heartworm treatment. Heartworm disease is a serious threat to both dogs and cats, effecting not only the heart but lungs, kidneys, liver, etc. We recommend all dogs and cats be treated monthly with a heartworm preventative. Heartworm preventative is a prescription medication. To obtain it, we require a negative test result during your dog’s yearly checkup or for any dog over six months of age. We do not require annual testing in cats.

FeLV/FIV
(Feline Leukemia & Feline AIDS Test)

We recommend every cat be screened for these two highly contagious viruses. Currently there is no effective treatment or cure for FeLV or FIV, so our goal is prevention. A simple blood test performed at the clinic in 5-10 minutes can determine whether your cat is infected. Feline Leukemia and Feline AIDS are common in the stray cat population and cause a variety of different types of illnesses ranging from chronic diarrhea to respiratory disease, weight-loss, and cancer. Although potentially deadly to cats, Feline AIDS is not transmittable to people.
